Successful double Robotics seminar
On Thursday 27 February 2020 STT hosted the second and third edition of our Robotics seminar. Both the morning and the afternoon sessions were fully booked by technics from the manufacturing industry. Together with our guests we looked into the possibilities and challenges of implementing industrial robots in the production process. It became clear in both the presentations as the experiences from the guests that in order for the robot to function at its best a complete integration in the production process is necessary.
Robot expert Jan-Peter Mollema spoke about the different robots on the market and their functionalities. Four of our engineers gave presentations about various elements of robot integrations, such as safety, sensors, grippers and software. A smaller group guided tour was given through our workshop in which special attention was given to five robot set-ups we have implemented or are building.
During the lunch, guests had the opportunity to meet each other and the guests from the other session. This was an informal way to network en meet colleagues from the manufacturing industry.
It was nice to see the enthusiasm for industrial robotics and hear about the plans different companies have for the future. We want to thank all of our guests for their presence!
